Where the money is going

The ABF (The Soldiers’ Charity) gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families.   In Afghanistan our troops are putting their lives on the line to bring stability and peace to this beautiful yet troubled land. They risk so much for us, but for them, it’s ‘just doing their job’.    In turn the ABF is there for them and their families when they need a listening ear, commonsense advice and down-to-earth help with no hassle or bureaucracy.   Whether dealing with personal needs or offering guidance in dealing with a range of support services, they are there to help.   The current operational fund needs your support as never before.   Learn more about the ABF – The Soldiers’ Charity at www.soldierscharity.org

Afghanaid has been working in Afghanistan for nearly 30 years. Its 400 staff work with more than 900,000 direct beneficiaries in some of the most remote and desolate areas of the country, providing the vital support communities need to grow and prosper. Afghanaid helps young girls to return to school whilst encouraging communities to prevent child marriage. It trains women in vocational skills and links them to the market. It gives farmers the tools and knowledge to diversify and store their crops, increasing food security for rural families.  In partnership with the Afghan government, it has brought elected councils to over two thousand villages and helps local people to meet their development needs.
